We came home in a box.....

For those not involved in the karting world...That's a good thing....It means we won and the motor was torn down and the parts were put in a box...This was done to make sure it was legal...It was and we left the track with a big smile on our faces.

Devin won the Animal 375 money race at the Big One today held at Dawgwood Speedway... Qualifyed on the pole out of I think 15 or 16 karts....And took the win. He made great calls all day long on tires and setup....Qualifyed 4th in lite giving up 40 lbs....Set on the pole for the Animal 375 money race and 3rd for Pro Animal... Stellar day at the track for us.

It's time for the BIG ONE....

Devin has worked all week long getting ready for this race....The kart is ready and so are the tires...Man it's a pain in the ass to have to work tires but it's part of the game, I just hope we have guessed right...? For us only racing once every couple of months it really is a guessing game as far as prep goes....Without it just stay home, make the wrong call and U will run in the back.

I wish we had to buy tires the day of the race for all big money races.....But that wouldn't be fair to the kart shops and the guys that make a living racing karts.... With all that said there is nothing better than beating their asses at their own game with only one new set of tires.

Getting ready for the 2012 Big One race at Dawgwood....

We had a killer qualifying run for the 2010 Big one race 7th out of 47 strong entries....Hope to do even better this year....It's next weekend (Aug. 25 2012 )the original scheduled date was canceled because of rain....Had it not been for that we would not have even be able race this years event.
